11-year-old Henry Coates fired in a 81.99 three-dart average whilst representing Derbyshire B at an Inter-Counties tournament.
Not long ago we saw Alex Hughes rise upon the scene of darts as he against the odds qualified for the RedDragon Worthington’s Champion of Champions tournament in Wales but how we’ve just witnessed Jamie Caven Darts Academy student Henry Coates fire in an average of 81.99 in an Inter-Counties match against Berkshire.
Coates, who plays for Derbyshire B and on the Junior Darts Corporation circuit, finished second on the weekend BICC average list with only fellow Derbyshire representative Andrew Gillott achieving a higher average than the youngster.
PDC professional Jamie Caven attended the event and took to Twitter to say, “Been to watch Derbyshire v Berkshire today in the inter counties darts. JC Darts Academy student 11 year old Henry Coates fires in a 3-0 win and a 27.33 average!”
The 11-year-old has a huge future within the game of darts and who knows we could see the youngster on our television screens in around 10 years time!
